Convertor to Uzbekistan

It’s all in the planning and being known for converting that into reality, is what led to a Customer approaching us for handling a 200 ton Synthetic Convertor from Harbin, China to Navoi, Uzbekistan. Given the weights/dimensions and job-site location, Globalink’s qualified Project Division had their work cut out for them. Having considered various possible routes and challenges, they selected the most optimum routing which met all Customer requirements, especially the deadline. With detailed route surveys done, lifting and loading plans drawn up, sourcing of needed equipment (4 cranes with 100 ton capacity each to lift the equipment in tandem) was also arranged.

With proven project handling experience, what made this project stand out was that transportation had to be carried out during the winter period. With heavy snowfalls, temperatures dropping to -50 Celsius and road conditions that left much to be desired, our Project Team succeeded with flying colors. From clearing snow and ice from more than 100 kms of roadway and even sand-paving certain stretches, the project was completed with days to spare.
End Result: No cargo damage, zero damages to roads or bridges and most importantly, zero injuries at work made this project a total success for both the Project Owner and Globalink.
