Almost 500 billion tenge will be directed to the road industry
Due to the implementation of the Nurly Zhol state program from 2015 to 2017, about 1.8 thousand kilometres of highways of national importance were built and reconstructed. This year, construction works are carried out with increased intensity on 23 road projects with coverage of the reconstruction of 4.2 thousand km.
According to the Deputy Chairman of the Committee of Roads of the Ministry of Investment and Development of Kazakhstan Amangeldy Bekov, it is planned to allocate 468 billion tenge to finance the sector this year.
"This year, the financing of the road industry will amount to 468 billion tenge. This includes transfers for the development of the local road network, repair and maintenance of roads, construction and reconstruction, including the loan of international financial institutions," he said.
Particular attention is paid to the development of roadside service facilities. By the end of the year, it is planned to bring the number of corresponding to the National Standard to 850 units, or 45% of the total number of road service facilities.
