Sagintayev holds a meeting on technological renewal and digitization, development of ICT, transport and tourism

July 16 in Ukimet Uyi, the Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev held a meeting on project management of the Third Modernization of Kazakhstan.

At the meeting, preliminary reports for the first half year and plans for 2018 on issues of technological renewal and digitalization of the economy, development of information and communication technologies, transport and tourism were heard. The issues of project management of Akimat of Almaty Region were also considered.

Akim of Almaty Region Amandyk Batalov reported on the work done within the framework of the project management for the first half year and plans for 2018 for the development of agro-industrial complex, transport and logistics, tourism, trade, health and education, industrialization, also talked about the implementation of the main directions for the development of mass entrepreneurship , productive employment, financial sustainability, digitalization of economic sectors and the development of ICT.

Minister of Information and Communications Dauren Abayev reported on the development of information and communication infrastructure, the use of digital technologies in the mining industry, transport and logistics, agribusiness, the development of electronic commerce, the creation of an innovative digital ecosystem and the implementation of smart cities.

In his turn, Minister for Investments and Development Zhenis Kassymbek informed about the development of the technology transfer system, additive engineering, technological re-equipment of the basic industries including elements of Industry 4.0.

Also, Kassymbek reported on provision of fitting platforms for increasing the volume of freight traffic, updating the fleet of freight vehicles, constructing a bypass railroad in Almaty, building and operating high-speed roads, and opening new air routes.

Minister of Culture and Sports Arystanbek Mukhamediuly reported on the liberalization of the visa and migration regime, the development of roadside service, tourist routes promoting the tourist potential of Kazakhstan and the implementation of a number of investment projects in Almaty, Akmola and Mangystau regions.
