For more than 19 years, the Kazakhstan Association of Wagon (Container) Carriers and Operators has been uniting and representing the interests of the most important domestic companies - owners of wagons and carriers, representing more than 100 thousand wagons to consumers and providing freight wagons with about 80% of the needs of the country's economy in rail transportation.

The Association protects the rights and legitimate interests of wagon owners and carriers in the state bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in various international organizations, conducts practical work to expand and strengthen partnership relations with the national railway company and its subsidiaries.
Representatives of the association, directly participating in the work of the Subcommittee on Railway Transport of the Advisory Committee on Transport and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission, the Commission of the Rolling Stock of the Council for Railway Transport of the Railway Administrations of the CIS and the Baltic states, form and improve the legal framework for the provision of wagons for transportation, participate in the development of requirements for new types of wagons and their operation.

Kazakhstan Association of Wagon (Container) Carriers and Operators performs the functions of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Atameken” in the field of providing operator services on railway transport.

Kazakhstan Association of Wagon (Container) Carriers and Operators actively participates in the work of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Agency for the Protection and Development of Competition of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan Temir Zholy National Company JSC on the implementation of the tasks set by the President of the country to provide rolling stock to the needs of the country's economy in transportation.

The heads and specialists of the companies are members of the Expert Councils on Entrepreneurship under the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Agency for the Protection and Development of Competition of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Logistics and Transportation Committee and the Subcommittee on Rail Transport of the Logistics and Transportation Committee of the NCE RK, the Union of Transport Workers of Kazakhstan KAZLOGISTICS.

Thanks to the established mechanism of interaction with government agencies and public organizations, the offers of carriers and owners of wagons are included in the plans for the implementation of the state technical and technological policy, improving the legal framework defining the principles of relations in the field of railway transport.

Kazakhstan Association of Wagon (Container) Carriers and Operators, in cooperation with the Federation of Carriers and Forwarders Associations of the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation, the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), the US Agency for International Development (USAID), the association develops regional cooperation, solves the problems of domestic wagon owners abroad, promotes Kazakhstan's experience in interaction of business and authorities.

The systematic communication of heads and specialists of companies at the Association's platform allows analyzing, promptly identifying threats to the implementation of operator activities and taking measures to improve the stable operation of companies in conditions of continuous changes in the world.
