For feeder transport, vessels with a capacity of 225 twenty-foot containers are used, which ensures the loading of a cargo of two full-capacity container trains into one vessel.

Consolidated transit cargo from China to Europe along with Kazakhstan export cargo in containers will be transported in an accelerated mode. The railway workers of Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey are ready to provide transit cargo transportation as part of container trains going from Lianyungang to Istanbul for 16 days.

The active use of the logistics infrastructure of the Altynkol border station, Eastern Gate FEZ of the dry port in Khorgos, the Aktau seaport will ensure the efficiency of transit traffic through the territory of Kazakhstan.

Feeder ships will ply regularly on a weekly basis, which contributes to an increase in cargo traffic along the Trans-Caspian international transport route and the further development of containerisation of cargo in the Caspian region.

“The Trans-Caspian route is a key link in the Eurasian transport arteries and complements the system of transit corridors in Kazakhstan. To attract reverse freight traffic from Turkey, Georgia and Azerbaijan in the direction of China, we have established a reduction factor that makes this route competitive,” Sauat Mynbayev, Chairman of the Board of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, said.

Within the framework of the event, the General Agreement on the transportation of dry cargo was signed between Kazakhstan Temir Zholy and KazMunayGas.
